Addiction
The
Spiritual Nature of Addiction: Many
of us are aware of the emotional and psychological aspects of addiction. What about the Spiritual nature
of addiction? In this workshop, we will identify the factors leading to the bondage of addiction.
We will apply sound biblical and sacramental based strategies in overcoming the noose of addiction. We
will also identify key components of a Christian recovery plan.
Fact or Fiction?? Pornography Addiction: This workshop is geared for two specific groups, those suffering from the bondage of pornography
and those who minister to individuals with pornography addiction. We will explain the growing prevalence
of this stigmatized and misunderstood addiction in our society. We will examine the key components of pornography
addiction, namely: the addictive root, the false belief system, the addictive cycle, and defense mechanisms. We
will identify relevant Christian principles to disassemble the addiction and begin steps toward recovery.
Recovering Marriage from Addiction: This retreat weekend is geared for couples trying to recover their marriage from the damage
of addiction. With Christ as the model of intimacy, we will discuss key elements in the addictive
process. We will examine scriptures such as Ecclesiastes 4:12 and how the “two become one”
within the heart of Christ. We will work with couples to understand the true face of intimacy, strategies
for healthy communication and how to build a marriage recovery plan.

Praying Your Plan Book:
This retreat will help teachers reflect on the presence of God in all that they do. We often look
through our plan book as something to “get through.” This retreat offers you practical suggestions
on praying through your day to experience God’s presence in the ministry of teaching and in the students He sends you.
Praying
With Kids: With
all the things you need to get done, prayer often hits the bottom of the list. This workshop encourages
the teacher to pray with students in a variety of ways. We will discuss prayer forms that fit different
academic curriculums, for instance prayer through poetry, so you can seamlessly weave God into your class environment.
Recharging Your
Teaching and Finding
Your Center: Both retreats designed to help the individuals find their center before they try to give
of themselves in their ministry. We will explore prayer, faith sharing and use activities to relax and
renew ourselves.
Joy in the Everyday Chaos: With the business
of our world, and our non-stop pace in life, how do we keep the joy? How do we not get overwhelmed with
“doing” and be at peace with “being.” This retreat calls us to invite the Holy
Spirit into our external chaos to bring us internal peace.
Discernment
Call to Life! Discerning Your Path: We travel many roads in this world.
Many journeys are like a vacation while some are our vocation. What is “vocation”?
Do we all have one? How do we know what God is calling us to? This retreat workshop
will help individuals learn a process of hearing God’s call in their lives.
